We read the books "Ten Apples Up On Top" and "Ten Red Apples".
We created this Apple diagram and labeled the different parts of an apple.
At recess we practiced balancing apples up on hour heads (we used bean bags to go this).
I took each child's picture and asked them how many apples they thought that they could balance on their head. By doing a little computer editing, I created a class book.
The students love reading books that they are the stars of!
In the math center we sorted apples by color and put them in order by size!
