For writing I decided to change things up.
We read a "Snow Globe Family"
We did a lot of prewriting for this activity. I had the studens decide the setting of their snow globe, then they had to draw the setting with them self as the main character. Next they used that picture and a flee map to write their story.
I could not be how well their stories turned out!
Such great little authors.
